Bed a little harder than our preference but I think that’s normal! We supplied our own music, frequent power cuts but the generator kicked in quickly.

"Cleanliness, location, easy check-in and wonderful breakfast. We stayed there on our way to Oslo. But a great stop for nearby national parks and also during winters offers lots of activities. Very cool property. Even though there is a shared bathroom it was clean all the time and it was available."

Everything was perfect. It’s my thing as I am a light sleeper and hence wherever it’s wooden cottage and people make noise, it’s hard to sleep quickly.

"I checked out the room and then in the airport I got the news that my flight was delayed for 5 hours. I came back in the hotel and they allowed me to stay in my room. Thanks for understanding. The hotel doesn't offer food though they recommended the good restaurant nearby. They have a driver to arrange a transfer when necessary. So nice when we were in a rush to the airport!I"

I would recommend to renew towels. They were clean but old.

"My second time staying at the wonderful St. James Guesthouse. Returned back after 3 years, and it was even more wonderful than what I remembered. The owner along with all of the employees are absolutely lovely. You truly feel at home with a lovely family like atmosphere. The rooms are authentic and have exactly what you need. Enjoyed having Netflix on the TV along with Aircondition in the room. Breakfast was delicious with great additional options you pay a cheap price for. Location is the best in Roseau, next to a car rental, walkable distance to everything (Ferry terminal, Markets, Restaurants/bars, Local busses to Portsmouth or Trafalgar). Cannot recommend this place and the employees enough. One of the many gems in Dominica! Thanks to the team once again 🙏"

"I’ve traveled 30s countries and by far this is one of the most wonderful heavenly home stay I ever had. We had an early check in with no extra fee and the host was super nice with us. The garden is absolutely stunning we all love it so much. Dogs and cats and birds around and all very friendly, we enjoy their accompany a lot. Breakfast is also a highlight, various choices, huge portion. I can not finish at all 😂 Also I’m very much a bon fire person. They lit up fire place everywhere in the house. I really adore that ❤️"

"It is very cozy and amazing place. I like not very big hotels with warm attitude from all of stuff. And this hotel is admirable according my choice. "Cleanliness, facilities (fully equipped kitchen, common areas, outdoor space, hand laundry and drying facilities, bikes for free, also SUP, parking for rented car, good strong hot shower and many bathrooms/wc), equipment, strong and reliable Wi-Fi, very good location (supermarkets, Main Street, Friday night market and park, museum and Long Beach all at walking/bike distance), good AC both in the room and in the living room. Excellent communication with the owner/manager Jee before, during and after the stay, very responsive, extremely helpful (day trips, recommendations, plugins adaptors, etc) and friendly. Very quiet. We stayed for 8 nights but we have stayed much longer, ideal for long stays and probably the best quality/price ratio in Koror. I really recommend! (And contrary to other reviews, indeed there are a few dogs in the neighbourhood but they don’t cause any problem)"

"The traditional Cypriot style and the charming little decorations perfectly matched my taste. The small balcony outside the room was so cute and cozy. The homemade meal had a unique flavor I had never experienced before and made me feel healthy. The hosts were very kind and happily explained the village bus schedule and how to get to our destinations. They gave my sister and me an unforgettable memory. "The owner was extremely welcoming and helpful, the garden is beautiful, the bungalows are nice. The location is good, neighborhood is silent, but it is a bit away from the busy areas and restaurants, so you need a car (but you need a car on Mahe anyway, so that is ok). There is a tiny, silent beach in 2 mins walk. If you prefer kind, local guesthouse owners and hospitality over luxury hotels, this is your place."

"Great location in a quiet street very close to the airport. Airport pick up and drop off very easy. Comfortable spacious room with excellent shower. Spotlessly clean and good aircon. Very nice outdoor swimming pool and whole place in a gated secure compound. Basic continental breakfast that you help yourself to in the communal kitchen. Owners are lovely and very helpful. Recommended!"

"Rose and the rest of the staff - they couldn’t do more to help and to make our stay the best! The place is in lovely old-style buildings with beautifully furnished rooms in a peaceful location. We loved the short cycle on complementary bikes to West Bay for the sunsets."

"Accommodations are simple but very comfortable. Nice swimming pool right out the hotel room door. Short walk to the water. We really enjoyed diving. My 18yr old son got PADI certified. They did an awesome job with him. Nassar was his instructor. He was awesome! Area was very safe."

No complaints. Please understand that tourism is severely impacted by the Gazan war. Many hotels and restaurants are closed and those that are open often are operating in a limited capacity. For example hotel restaurants might not operate at all. This affects all hotels. There were almost no tourists as of November 2025.

"The kindness of Elen and John was above and beyond what you could ever expect . Elen made us an excellent dinner . She also let us keep our room through the next day so that we had somewhere to return to to shower after a day out ( our flight home was in the evening) . These are good people."

I was traveling solo on a leisure visit and I felt very comfortable and safe throughout. They have a good breakfast spread. The property is very green and cosy."

"Steve & Geri are terrific hosts, and the kind of people you want to meet when you’re travelling. They were very welcoming and accommodating, and fun to talk to. The B&B location is both convenient for arrivals, and well-placed for a walk along the southern coast beaches. The decor of the room is also well-suited to provide character. Enjoyed the breakfast."

It’s a helluva walk into town. And the neighbourhood dogs, pigs and cockerels noisy and fighting all night every night kept me awake.

"This guy gets it. This is what B&B felt like at its infancy, before it became a property business ROI machine. Here you have actual conversations and human atmosphere. Host is very friendly, joins for breakfast chat, and is a really wise and cool person, who is happy to talk tourist things, history, and life. Overall the place has 3 small rooms, with a huge shared central room, so it must be fun for friend groups. Amenities, location, and basics are fine. Furniture is amazing and well kept antics. Breakfast is basic but local and fresh. I traveled for business, but will come back with family. :)"
