"The price is excessively large comparatively and the taxi driver pointed out that the locals are concerned about the price point being too high. Food prices are far higher than expected. At breakfast we heard most tables around us comment on the high price and low comparative value (even the Americans) . I have to say, however, the quality was very good. Some staff were surly and some level of resentment came through. Others were superior and very welcoming."

Top restaurants...for value and quality Carmine...for the upscale experience The Dunes....for the best fine dining you can get on the whole island Café Martinique! We had the biggest Suite...the ocean view was just amazing from the huge balcony (600 square feet). Super nice service and polite. Disregard all the negative reviews...there are from unhappy sour people by nature."

"It was a too big very artificial “city”. Everything was also very expensiv. The shops were shops all the same, for instance we had a small kitchen with possibilities to make coffee on our room, but we couldn’t find apples, tomatos, avocados or any fresh fruit in shops."

"The Reef was gorgeous, we were warmly welcomed on our arrival. The rooms have a small kitchenette, which is a bonus! The housekeeping ladies were lovely as were the rest of the staff we came in contact with, especially Janay (Concierge). She was extremely helpful in booking restaurants for us, always with a smile on her face! There is a lot to do at The Atlantis (for both adults and children) , you won’t be bored! We ate at the finest restaurants (Paranza was our favourite, and our waiter Jerome was just the best. Very attentive) in the hotels and Marina Village, the only downside is the 10% VAT & 15% resort Gratuity which really upped the total. Everything is very expensive here. Before you get on the bridge to Paradise Island, ask your taxi driver to stop at the nearest grocery store. We will happily return.. my daughter’s already planning another trip!"

"Absolutely brilliant stay from the moment we arrived. Ryan at the front desk was brilliant, helped us settle in and secured us a complimentary upgrade as we were travelling for our anniversary and a birthday. Room was beautiful, view was amazing, facilities were so good, so much for everyone to do and we didn’t need to leave the resort. The children loved the resort especially the water park and the beach and pools were brilliant. The room was spacious and would highly recommend it to anyone travelling to the Bahamas. There was a on site cinema, basketball and tennis courts too, plus the lazy river is the best part of the resort. Staff were amazing, especially Ryan, Vanessa and the front desk manager Keisha. Everyone from the front desk to the room service, to the lifeguards and restaurant staff were really nice and polite."

"We booked last minute, so were unable to arrange transfers from the airport, as the request was made too late, despite them having a desk at the airport, they were unable to arrange anything, so we had to spend money on taxis to and from the airport. The resort is extremely expensive, everything is overpriced and it is better to go outside to the local grocery store and stock up on your everyday essentials, try not to buy from the stores at the resort as everything is inflated. Leaving the resort can be expensive too as the nearest downtown is a car ride away, I would recommend taking the water taxis as they’re fun and cheaper too."
