Campsite sa Thailand

"It was unique and the location perfect as we had stopped off in the city of Masaru on the way. We had excellent communication with the host who organised an upgrade as we were two women travelling together and asked for the possibility of twin beds. Mark organised a full day out on his horses with his guide Motobang which was excellent and included lunch. All food was prepared by him and was delicious and plenty."

First of all please do not rely on the reviews here. The most one I think are fake reviews. This is now the real situation at this so called Nature "hotel". Flies flies flies. Everywhere thousand of flies. Flies in the rooms, flies in the restaurant everywhere you will have the flies. This is an indicator about the bad hygiene in this hotel. I have booked to so called King Room with Mountain view. It sounds very friendly but the reality is totally a horror. The room is very dirty and most issue it is wet and everywhere you see mold. When you enter the room you smell the moldy air. Absolutely unhealthy enviroment. Even the bedding is moldy and wet. The floor is wet. The walls are wet. We have to use hair dryer to have a little bit dry feeling when we sleep. But we could not sleep very well. Very terrible situation. Beside the moldy enviroment the room cleanless is terrible. Everywhere died flies and their feces. Stains on bedding and hairs. The bathroom was so dirty that we have avoided to take a shower. The toilet was not cleaned. The breakfast was consist of only rice and noodle and some unfresh cakes. On the food there are a lot of flies. They have a menu but most ones are not available. So we ate some noodle but was very low quality. Now my frustration. I have paid 1.4mRP for one night. In Indonesia you can stay in a very good 4 star Hotel for this price. I have requested a refund but the owner/staff was very unfriendly and not collaborative. For 200kRP you can stay in Bromo/Tosari in every homestay which is more better than this kind. So dont rely on the pics and reviews. The guys are cheating in a high level. Please be really careful to book this hotel. I have already claimed to booking.com. The way to get there is very adventurous. I arrived in the dark and I wasn't really sure I am at the right place because of the road. Quite scary.

"We really enjoyed staying at Ursak Camp. The cabins and tents are beautifully designed and create a wonderful atmosphere close to nature. Another big advantage is that you can buy ready-made meals on site, which is very convenient since the nearest grocery stores are quite far away. Everything was very clean, the sauna was excellent, and the food was great as well. The accommodation itself was very comfortable. We truly enjoyed being surrounded by nature — the whole experience was wonderful."

This is not an issue with Ursak Camp itself, but rather a helpful tip for future visitors. Google Maps and Waze often suggest a route through Sinjajevina Mountain. At first the road looks paved and normal, but eventually it ends. In winter there may be snow, and it is easy to get stuck there. There is also almost no mobile signal in that area. It is much safer to approach Ursak Camp through the town of Kolašin and enter from the lower road. The mountain road may be fine in summer, but in winter it is better not to take that route.

"The campsite has an astonishing view of the lake Manyara and the national park. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The unique igloos have a pleasant interior atmosphere and are comfortable to sleep in. The campsite is ideally located for visiting the various national parks in the region. The restaurant serves excellent food."

It's hard to say anything negative.

"Facilities are good. Was quiet and lovely to stay there. Beds were very comfortable."

Small points could get better maintenance in the bungalow. But was quite good.

"Friendly staff, beautiful location, very cozy and comfortable. Was perfect to come back and wind down after a busy day. We loved our tent (large bed with bathroom), definitely did not feel like you were camping. The pool was a great touch as well."

A bit far out of town. 35 minute walk or 6 minute taxi. A small price to pay for such a beautiful location

It takes 20 minutes walking to city (still it is better than other tents which are located in sand dunes)

"It's an exceptionally clean and comfortable campsite, with friendly staff. The food in the restaurant is delicious and the service excellent. The location is beautiful. Although not far from the station, there is a frequent bus, which is useful if you have luggage or skis."

There is nothing that I don't like.

"We made use of the campsite. The food was amazing and we were very happy to make use of the outdoor shower and having our hiking clothes washed. Back on the trail feeling refreshed! The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Would definitely recommend this place!"
