"This is a simple hotel, but superb value. It's on a lively street in downtown Cairo. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Manager Hashemi organised great day trips and airport transfers with a marvellous driver. Simple Egyptian breakfast of omelette, flatbread, cheese and jam."

"The room was large and had a balcony, but lacking toilet or sink. The bathrooms were outside the room, but the room price was so reasonable, I couldn't really complain."

It’s a traditional property with a lot of original features including the original shutters, very calm above and in an area of vibrant and industrious textile design area just off Tahrir Square. It’s very convenient for everything in Cairo with all amenities close by uncluding for business and tourism."

"My room was amazing. It was huge, with doors opening to a balcony on one wall, with another window to the street side. It was very quiet. I loved the wooden floor, high ceilings, blue painted walls, and the general ambience. The shower was inside my room, but the bathroom (with toilet and handbasin) was across the hall, which was fine by me. I appreciated the taxi pick-up from the airport, and being met on arrival by Mansour who is very lovely and helpful. Wifi was always great, and the breakfast was very nice."

"I visited Cairo during a VERY hot week and Hotel Berlin is on the top floor of a building which seemed to attract the heat. The AC in my room was quite old. It did manage to keep the room cool enough for me, though some people might not have found it so suitable."
