"This place is wonderful. Nicole met us on arrival with the keys and to talk us through the house. She's a wonderful person, typified by when our car broke down shortly after arriving, helped find a garage that would fix it (which it did - competently and at fair price), and took me there! The house itself is spaceous with a lovely garden and plenty of wildlife around. We arrived in the middle of a heatwave but the thick walls kept the place relatively cool. It's well-equipped with all you'd expect - we mostly self-catered (there aren't many eat-out options within quick travel) - and is in a beautiful, peaceful location which served both as a base from which to travel and in which to relax."

"The house was in good condition for its age. The bed was a comfortable double, with very clean linen. We enjoyed the pool and there were new pool towels for us to use. It was in an interesting position, close to the water. We didn’t use the bedrooms upstairs. You can just see the river (a branch of it) from the para pool."

We stumbled upon a gem: a spacious 3-bedroom apartment in the heart of the city. Imagine the joy of my nephews with their very own bunk beds! The spotless apartment boasted a brand new kitchen (though the delicious local fare kept us from cooking). Every detail, from comfy beds to a sparkling bathroom, was perfect for relaxation. Two days felt like a blink! The quiet nights and incredible downtown proximity were just the icing on the cake. Parking right out front made exploring a breeze. We were already plotting our return before our flight back. This rental is a treasure! Highly recommending this charming home away from home for anyone seeking a slice of Châteauroux magic.
