"The property was perfect for our family - it allowed us to eat at the apartment whilst also being able to go out. The kids loved the pool! The property is in a perfect location and yet very quiet"

"The microwave did not work! Fortunately we did not really need it but on the one occasion we wanted to use it, it did not work. We reported it so it can be resolved. Also, we had a tea towel for a day or so but then it kept disappearing. Not easy to dry plates etc when there is no tea towel"

"The apartments are well furnished, comfortable and have good internet and an outside balcony with seating. There is also a meticulously cleaned pool and a restaurant/bar/breakfast area a few paces from each apartment, and a 24-hour reception. The location is ideal, next door to one of the town's best-stocked supermarkets and within easy walking distance to tourist restaurants and the beach."

"My apartment (which could accommodate 4 people) was on 2 floors with a steep staircase to upstairs, which might be an issue for some visitors."

"Well located, clean and comfortable 1 bedroom self catering accommodation. Good and fast communication from the owner with questions I had making the stay very pleasant. Nice little extras were provided on arrival like hot drinks welcome pack, bottled water, cleaning products and even a Christmas card and chocolate yule log. Close enough to walk to both beach and restaurants and above a well stocked supermarket."

"Great location. The hotel is like a courtyard next to the main street. A big supermarket next door with currency exchange and mobile reload. Nice to have a kitchen and washing machine. Walking distance to Senegambia area. Highly recommended!"

"The cleaning. Apartment wasn't properly cleaned (floor, toilet) when I checked in. The staff did offer to clean the floor every day but didn't refill the toilet paper. I had to ask twice for toilet paper. I wore sandals because the floor is always dusty due to the dust in the air."

"in comparison with other places sold for similar price,this was excellent;helpful staff,clean place,nice swimming pool,quiet environment in the yard (although located on main busy road,there is no noise inside);functioning air conditioning,tight mosquito nets in the windows-no mosquito inside for all days;first place in Gambia where I could sleep very well;nice place for families with (little) children;everything uncomfortable that you go through in Africa-dust,smell,sweat,dirt-you get rid of that in the evening in this place🙂"

"I frequently visit the Gambia and usually stay in a kombo beach hotel. I never knew about the RIYAN APARTMENT. This time I decided to stay in this lovely apartment and frankly speaking I will always stay here whenever I visit the Gambia. The owner Paul is very friendly, helpful and honest. The staff starting from the security to the domestic workers are all very helpful. Whatever I say about this Gem 💎 words isn't enough. The apartment has anything you need from kitchen accessories to TV , which has Netflix and you tube and lots of channels. Very close to all the tourist areas and a supermarket at hand."
