"Definitely a 10 out of 10! This is such a gem! The best place we stayed in Guatemala and Belize. It's very tranquil on an island on the side of the river. Just 3 rooms, all beautiful, but we were lucky to be able to rent 'the villa' which was very spacious, secluded and nicely decorated. About the food: everything built from scratch and organic. Thanks Daria and Douglas!!"

"La Isla Dulce is the ultimate little getaway to relax after traveling through Guatemala. Douglas, Daria and the staff (and their dog Oyso) are so welcoming and made our stay even better. The property is on an absolute paradise little jungle island, only reachable by boat. We spend our days doing basically nothing, chilling on the dock, kayaking and enjoying all the homemade food and drinks. They also have a paddle board and offer a small boat ride with the dog. If you’re there longer you can make the trip to Livingston as well, but we recommend just indulging this amazing place. We could’ve easily stayed a week (or longer) here and were sad to leave after two nights."

"What a fabulous spot!! I enjoyed my stay here so much!! We met the owner before checking in and he was so friendly. The view was spectacular!! The shower was a scene right out of a movie. It was such a nice and peaceful spot. It was right across the street from Maya Moon Cafe. A place to unwind and meet new people and eat yummy food! Not too far from in town to San Marcos. The positives definitely outweighed the negatives!!"
"Absolutely gorgeous property with incredible views. The sauna was a lovely addition and the sunsets were incredible. Really delicious homemade breakfast each day for additional cost and a shared kitchen with free eggs if you choose to make your own. Kenzie was so kind and made us a ceremonial cacao for free on Christmas morning - you must try!"
