"I's a nice, relaxing place in a beautiful natural setting. A bit above Nioumachoua and with a very nice view over the hills and coast from the room balcony. Staff was very friendly and helpful and they can inform you about possible activities as well. The room was comfortable and reasonably clean, there was an (intact) mosquito net and air con. The breakfast was included and you can order dinner as well, which was delicious."

The door handles tend to fall out and should be repaired. Some ants in the room. Some waiting time for breakfast.

Mr. Nurlan was incredibly supportive and helpful in every possible way — not only inside the hotel, but even outside the hotel, assisting us with arrangements, guidance, and personal support that went far beyond his duties. His dedication, generosity, and genuine care are truly rare to find. Thanks to him, our stay was smooth, comfortable, and unforgettable. He turned our visit to Gabala into a perfect experience and set a new standard for what true hospitality means. This hotel is outstanding, but Mr. Nurlan is its greatest asset. "The pool was necessary but a little dirty. The ac is effective and the hot water is too. You cant ask to much of hospitality businesses in this part of west africa but this place exceeded them. This place is great for overlanders"

Its definitely more of a "hang out" hotel for locals to come swim or watch football. It will probably be a little rowdy on some weekends. The staff seemed a little confused how to handle overnight guests.

"I stayed at Le Bellerive in Payret le Chateau on a recent motorcycle trip.Greeted by Alfred, I got a fabulous room overlooking the lake. I dined in the restaurant and had the recommended Coq au Vin with a soap starter and desert which were all absolutely delicious with lovely ambiance both inside and out. Easy parking for my bike too just under my bedroom window. I would recommend this hotel to all travelling in this location Peter Ireland"

"Central, quiet location, next to supermarket (great option in expensive Djibouti), stable WiFi, aircon in room (important in hot Djibouti), decent breakfast. After check out I was allowed to keep my luggage stored there and to use the kitchen facilities until my evening flight"

"This is such a unique property and what an experience to stay in a Troglodyte home. We were welcomed warmly and thoroughly enjoyed sleeping in the cave like rooms, that were so spacious too. Dinner is available at the guesthouse for a reasonable price considering how much food they gave us too."

The showers in the bathrooms have zero water pressure, it was just a trickle of water unfortunately.

There was some water on the bathroom floor, which I guess was caused by a leaking pipe. It did affect the overall experience a bit.
