"Huge room, cleaned daily and bottles of water in the room. Pool was clean and sun loungers comfortable. Great breakfast - I loved the option of poached eggs and juice! Friendly staff and easy check in and out process. Only 5 minute walk to a choice of beaches too and 3 minute walk to all the restaurants/ shops! Would have loved to stay for longer."

"Comfortable guesthouse backed onto one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka. Rooms were clean and of reasonable size, small pool a refreshing addition with multiple patio/seating areas. I was in regular touch with a coordinator from the Kay Jay HQ who was responsive with good English - he helpfully arranged tuks and taxis when there were language barriers with the local team."

"Perfect location right on the beach with wonderful views and 3 minutes walk from the train and bus stations so very easy to get to. The beach itself is gorgeous - long stretch of sand, beautiful and quiet. The room was clean and comfortable with AC and a fridge, and you can not only see the sea but you can hear the waves in bed at night! There are shops and restaurants nearby which I didn’t explore as the food at Beach House was great - delicious home cooking. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The owner introduced me to a lovely local tuk tuk driver (Kushan) who took me to all the local sights one day - kayaking on Koggala Lake, visiting the museum and tea plantation etc."

"It was quiet, located right next to the beach. You hear only the waves (and the fishermen). Room was spacious, clean and well equipped (though a bit dated). The balcony was huge and cool during the day because of the breeze from the ocean. The garden is nice, with enough lawnchairs and shade spots around the pool. No mosquitos during our stay. You can order dinner that they bring from somewhere else. It was well done (we tried fish, rice and curry, prawns). Helpful and friendly staff."
