"Only one down side worth mentioning and that’s the length of time it takes to get food at the Sugar Apple Cafe! It’s a lovely place and the food is good but the food wait time is absolutely crazy!! Also not having a separate lunch menu isn’t great. The lunch and dinner menu are the same but I good they will improve this and provide a separate and different lunch menu and also sort out the food times. Apart from this the place is more or less perfect!!"

"Lots of returning guests as it’s charmingly beautiful. Clean, very helpful friendly staff, good management and really good 3 course table service lunch and diner. Breakfast from 7:30am and plenty of choice. This is our 4th visit to the place. We are looking already to book in 2026"

"The food quality is average. Drinks fine but wine selection is very poor. It is expensive as everything thing is in Barbados however I believe this was particularly overpriced."

"The beds were very comfortable The en-suite bathroom was great with separate loo and huge shower. The gardens and fountains were beautiful. If was on a sandy beach. The staff were all amazing. Food and drinks delicious."

"We thought the breakfast was delicious. They had a omelet station, fresh fruit every day, bacon and pancakes, yogurts, carrot and beet juice. The staff was very nice and making sure our coffee and water was filled."

"The recently refurbished rooms were excellent. There were plenty of new sunbeds by all pools and on the beach and we really liked the resort layout and and the lovely colourful buildings."

"Only one of two restaurants were open resulting in lack of food choice, breakfast was good but in the main restaurant the food was average at best. Training of staff really needs to be improved, as on numerous occasions we got different answers to questions from different staff (especially reception staff that were poor at communication and did not follow up on requests). We also spoke to many other unhappy guests that had serious issues with their rooms. For example: One elderly couple got locked in their first floor room for 2hrs, the telephone was not working and therefore they could not raise the alarm. Also, a number of rooms did not have any hot water, 2 rooms also flooded whilst we were there and the majority of rooms had telephones & TVs not working. We feel there was a lack of evening entertainment, only 3 nights out of 7 during our stay. Also, no daytime activities although according to our daily programme received on arrival, there should have been something going on every day. The resort was obviously opened too soon following the renovations as these issues should have been picked up prior to opening."
