Situated in Vík town centre, this historic century-old hostel is a 10 minutes’ walk from Vík’s famous black beach. Guests have access to a communal, well-equipped kitchen and shared seating area. Kötlusetur Museum is located next door to the hostel. Each room at 1908 Hostel by Tröll is simply decorated and has shared bathroom facilities. Jeep tours around the surrounpati na ring mountains can be arranged. "The room was clean and comfortably warm, and the property is conveniently located near the bus station. The staff were very friendly, and we especially appreciated that breakfast was included with our booking."
"It was challenging to reach the accommodation through the booking.com chat over the weekend when we needed to adjust our booking or request additional information. When we called, we were informed that the relevant team was unavailable on weekends. Getting to Vík was also quite difficult without your own transport, and while we had to get creative with our logistics, unfortunately, we received no response from the team regarding recommendations via chat box. That said, the ground staff were very friendly and willing to assist wherever possible."
